These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of sdforaccountability.org (the “Site”), operated by San Diegans for Accountability (“San Diegans for Accountability,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
If San Diegans for Accountability operates under a different registered legal or committee name, references in these Terms should be understood to include [INSERT LEGAL COMMITTEE NAME].
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Purpose of the Site
The Site provides information about San Diego County Measure A and the campaign supporting a YES vote on Measure A.
The Site may also allow visitors to:
Pledge support for Measure A
Sign up for campaign updates
Opt in to text message communications
Access campaign and election information
View endorsements and campaign materials
Contact San Diegans for Accountability
Participate in campaign or advocacy activities
2. Informational Content
We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and current information.
Campaign information may be updated as new election materials, official documents, endorsements, or other information becomes available.
Official election information should be confirmed through the San Diego County Registrar of Voters or other appropriate government election authority.
3. Form Submissions
When you submit information through the Site, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it.
Submitting a pledge of support indicates your support for Measure A but does not constitute an official vote. Votes must be cast through the official election process.
4. Email Communications
If you provide your email address and request campaign updates, you may receive email communications from San Diegans for Accountability regarding Measure A, campaign developments, Election Day information, opportunities to participate, and related advocacy matters.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in campaign emails.
5. SMS / Text Messaging Terms
Program Description
By voluntarily providing your mobile phone number and affirmatively opting in to text messages, you agree to receive recurring SMS or MMS messages from San Diegans for Accountability.
Messages may include:
Measure A campaign updates
Election information
Reminders
Calls to action
Volunteer or campaign participation opportunities
Related political or advocacy communications
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on campaign activity.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier and service plan.
San Diegans for Accountability does not charge a separate fee for campaign text messages.
Opting Out
You may opt out at any time by replying:
STOP
After you opt out, you may receive one final confirmation message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After that confirmation, you will not receive additional messages from that messaging program unless you later provide new consent.

Consent
Consent to receive text messages is voluntary.
You are not required to consent to text messages in order to:
Mobile Number Responsability
By opting in, you represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you provide or that you otherwise have authorization to consent to messages at that number.
If your mobile number changes or is reassigned, you should opt out or notify us so that messages are not sent to another person.
Delivery
Mobile carriers and messaging service providers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
Message delivery may be affected by your carrier, device, coverage, service availability, or other factors outside our control.
Privacy
Information collected through the SMS program is handled in accordance with our
Privacy PolicyWe do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, content created for the Site, including text, graphics, logos, campaign designs, and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to San Diegans for Accountability and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Government documents, election materials, third-party logos, quotations, photographs, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
You may share publicly available campaign materials for lawful, noncommercial purposes related to supporting or discussing Measure A, provided that the materials are not altered in a misleading manner.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Site to:
Violate any applicable law or regulation
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems
Introduce malicious software or harmful code
Interfere with the operation or security of the Site
Impersonate another person
Submit false or fraudulent information
Use Site forms for spam, harassment, or unlawful solicitation
8. Third-Party Websites
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including government resources, social media platforms, organizations, or other external resources.
These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes.
San Diegans for Accountability does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or privacy practices of third-party websites.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided on an “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, San Diegans for Accountability makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the completeness of third-party information linked from the Site.
Nothing on the Site should be interpreted as legal advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, San Diegans for Accountability and its officers, representatives, contractors, volunteers, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Site.

Your use of the Site is also subject to our
Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect information.
12. Changes to These Terms
